El Valor is a non-profit community based organization founded in 1973 that strives for a community in which all members, including individuals with special needs, can live, learn, and work.

They are located through the south and west sides of Chicago and Cicero, serving over 3,000 children and families annually through various family and community programs. With a budget of over $18 million, programs work with families throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. El Valor has over 300 staff members and hundreds of volunteers help provide services to children, people with disabilities and their families.

During the pandemic, El Valor has continued to serve their communities at their centers, and provide resources to help families in need of meals, rental assistance, and testing.
